IN THE SPIRIT OF…

EDWARD BAWDEN & ERIC RAVILIOUS

FRY ART GALLERY

This exhibition, in 2006 featured work by artists, some emerging and others already established, who acknowledged the influence that either Ravilious or Bawden had on their work.

A catalogue was produced in the form of a double sided single sheet folded into twelve. As a gift to friends, who’d organised the exhibition, I created the catalogue into a model of Edward Bawden’s house, Brick House in Great Bardfield. The criteria I set was to use the existing folds as part of the construction, which at times proved challenging. The only additions are the tab and split pin on the reverse.

This model features on pg.149 of Mark Hearld’s Work Book, 2012.

Medium: Paper. Dimensions: H:210mm W:148mm D:73mm.
