Inspiration came from a fan that was bought from an antique shop in Barcelona. When it opens it has a locking device created by flaps that fold to the front and back of each leaf. This fan has two leaves, however when taken apart it was apparent that it originally had three.

Girl with the Watering Can, 2014 is made from card and a page from a book called Toys and Games (Indoors), Edwards and Gibbon, 1966. It was based on a stencil that was part of a series made by Reeves. The stencil motif is inspired by my love of those used as a child to create pictures on a rainy day.

Medium: Paper and card.
Dimensions: H: 150mm W: 105mm-240mm.
